The Tender Land

At the suggestion of the Stage Director, I used photographs by early 20th century photographer Karl Blossfeldt in the projections. The beautiful plant forms worked well with the rustic setting of the opera and the anthemic qualities of Copland's music.

Jeremy Knight's videography supplies a black-and-white backdrop of cloudscapes and harvest images.
